For more than a decade , Five Lakes Grill has ranked as one of the nation's most respected restaurants, with its award-winning cuisine drawing food enthusiasts not only from the metro Detroit area but from throughout the state and across the country.
The man behind this legend is Brian Polcyn, one of the country's most highly-regarded chefs and culinary educators. Polcyn created and managed three of metro Detroit's landmark restaurants, Pike Street Restaurant (1987), Chimayo (1990) and Acadia (1993), before joining Schoolcraft College's Culinary School faculty. |
| Recognizing that great chefs should do what they are trained to do - be in the kitchen, Polcyn sold his interest in the three restaurants and sought the ideal setting to create the perfect restaurant, one that, in his own words, "makes great food approachable for everyone." |
